Businesses in Michigan get access to 100Mbps high speed internet

Many businesses in the Michigan area will now be able to enjoy high speed internet of up to 100Mbps thanks to the introduction of a new service from Comcast Business.

For most Internet users the need for high speed internet is important, as we tend to do so many different things online these days. However, the importance of high speed internet is possibly even greater for business users who rely on these services to make a success of their business and to earn a living.

There is some good news for businesses in the Michigan area who are hoping to be able to access faster internet services after communications giant Comcast Business revealed the launch of its high speed service for businesses with speeds of up to 100Mbps. Officials from Comcast Business said that the services, offering speeds of up to 100Mbps for downloads and up to 10Mbps for uploads, is one of the fastest in nation.

Bill Stemper, President of Comcast Business Services, said: “Internet speeds this fast are a game changer for businesses. 100 Mbps provides the bandwidth required for an office full of people to access the hosted, cloud-based services that are fueling business productivity, while also reducing costs.”

The company is also rolling out a scalable voice solution in the area, called “Comcast Business Class Trunks.” A Comcast official said: “Our scalable voice trunking solution gives businesses with more sophisticated communications needs or multiple locations a more reliable, flexible phone service option. Since our IP network is physically separate and diverse from leased or public facilities, disruptions to other networks do not impact the performance of our network. Plus, when Comcast Business Class Trunks are coupled with lightning-fast Comcast Business Class Internet, business owners can save up to 20 percent over competitive offerings.”
