Another honor for Cox Communications

Cox Communications has received yet another honor for its high speed Internet service, after being voted ‘Fastest in the US’ by PCMag.com.

Another honor has been handed out to the US communications giant Cox Communications, after its high speed internet service was voted ‘Fastest in the US’ by PCMag.com. It is claimed that the high speed internet service is around forty four times faster than the average Internet Service Provider.

Allen Roberts, VP Operations, Cox Virginia, said: “Independent third parties have consistently recognized Cox as a broadband leader and we continue to aggressively enhance the speeds and features of our services to deliver the capabilities our customers need.”

The ranking given to Cox Communications was based on speed test data, which was gathered on behalf of PCMag.com as well as on an index that measured download speeds based on eighty percent importance and upload speeds as twenty percent importance.

In the tests Cox Communications came in with an average download speed of 18.51Mbps, an average upload speed of 4.80Mbps and an index scoring that came in at 15.77.

With its various internet and entertainment offerings, Cox Communications serves more than six million homes and businesses with its various services and products. All of its service use next-generation cable broadband DOCSIS 3.0 technology.
